Toxic Metals in Dried Marine Fish and Implications for Human Health in Bangladesh and Exporting Countries

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
This study assessed toxic metals in five dried marine fish species from Bangladesh. Although most metals were within safe limits, chromium (Cr) consistently exceeded FAO/WHO standards, especially at Kuakata Beach. The findings highlight localized contamination hotspots and species‐specific bioaccumulation, while risk assessment supports the safety and ...

Characterization of Fatty Acid Profiles and Nutritional Quality Indices in Commercial Spreadable Processed Cheeses: Comparative Analysis and Health Implications

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Natural processed cheeses showed a more favorable nutritional profile, including higher unsaturated fatty acids and better functional performance. A balanced fatty acid composition was identified as a key factor influencing meltability, oil separation, and overall quality of processed cheeses.

Evidence From Microscopy and U–Pb Geochronology as a Clue to the Influence of the Cretaceous Magmatism in the Diagenesis of Pre‐Salt Carbonate Reservoirs in the Santos Basin (Brazil)

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

Key soil health indicators under humid grazing lands

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
Soil health can be described using a few key soil health indicators that target a diversity of soil functions. This perspective article highlights how forage management affects these soil health indicators in humid‐zone grazing lands. Abstract Background Soil health describes critical soil functions influenced by land management. Although some key soil
