Canagliflozin protects cardiovascular function in type 2 diabetic coronary artery disease by regulating natriuretic peptide B

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin regulated the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)‐protein kinase 1‐α signaling pathway through the natriuretic peptide B gene, thereby improving cell viability, apoptosis, and reactive oxygen species levels, and ultimately protecting cardiac function in type 2 diabetic patients with coronary artery disease.

Computed microtomographic imaging of revascularization during healing of Achilles tendon injury

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
This study explores the role of vascularization in tendon healing by comparing physiological and pathological angiogenesis. Using micro‐CT imaging, we identified distinct changes in vascular organization following injury, highlighting the dynamic interplay between angiogenesis and tendon pathology.

Xanthine Derivative KMUP‐3 Alleviates Periodontal Bone Resorption by Inhibiting Osteoclastogenesis and Macrophage Pyroptosis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
This study reveals that our self‐developed xanthine derivative, KMUP‐3, suppresses osteoclastogenesis, inflammation, and pyroptosis by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome. It also alleviates periodontal bone loss in periodontitis rats, highlighting its potential as a novel therapeutic option for periodontitis.

Systemic, Lifestyle and Environmental Modifying Factors in the Pathogenesis of Periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
A variety of impacting factors in the pathogenesis of periodontitis exist, including systemic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. This review highlights the manifold mechanistic aspects of the link between the pathogenesis of periodontitis, addressing these numerous factors to supplement the long‐standing knowledge of the progression of the disease.
