Wnt signaling during tooth replacement in zebrafish (Danio rerio) : pitfalls and perspectives [PDF]
The canonical (13-catenin dependent) Wnt signaling pathway has emerged as a likely candidate for regulating tooth replacement in continuously renewing dentitions.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Intrinsic and Extrinsic Connections of Tet3 Dioxygenase with CXXC Zinc Finger Modules. [PDF]
Tet proteins are emerging as major epigenetic modulators of cell fate and plasticity. However, little is known about how Tet proteins are targeted to selected genomic loci in distinct biological contexts.

Regulator of g protein signaling 3 modulates wnt5b calcium dynamics and somite patterning.
Vertebrate development requires communication among cells of the embryo in order to define the body axis, and the Wnt-signaling network plays a key role in axis formation as well as in a vast array of other cellular processes.

Roof plate-specific spondin 1 (R-spondin1, RSPO1) is a Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway activator that binds with Wnt ligands to stimulate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which is key to hair regeneration. However, it is not clear whether recombinant

Receptor and secreted targets of Wnt-1/beta-catenin signalling in mouse mammary epithelial cells. [PDF]
BackgroundDeregulation of the Wnt/ beta-catenin signal transduction pathway has been implicated in the pathogenesis of tumours in the mammary gland, colon and other tissues. Mutations in components of this pathway result in beta-catenin stabilization and

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

Cryo-EM structure of human Wntless in complex with Wnt3a
The transmembrane protein Wntless (WLS) is essential for the secretion of Wnt proteins, which are signaling molecules of the Wnt signaling pathways. Here, the authors present the 2.2 Å cryo-EM structure of human WLS in complex with Wnt3a and discuss ...

First-passage dynamics of linear stochastic interface models: numerical simulations and entropic repulsion effect [PDF]
A fluctuating interfacial profile in one dimension is studied via Langevin simulations of the Edwards-Wilkinson equation with non-conserved noise and the Mullins-Herring equation with conserved noise. The profile is subject to either periodic or Dirichlet (no-flux) boundary conditions. We determine the noise-driven time-evolution of the profile between
