The Dzhanibekov Effect as a Possible Source of Magnetar Activity
Magnetars, which are neutron stars with strong magnetic fields, exhibit occasional bursting activities. The shape of a magnetar is not perfectly spherical due to the Lorentz force exerted by its strong magnetic fields and is described as a triaxial body.

HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Monitoring of the Spectral and Timing Properties of the Ultraluminous X-Ray Pulsar NGC 7793 P13
We present the long-term spectral and timing evolution of the ultraluminous X-ray pulsar NGC 7793 P13 from 2011 to 2024 based on archival data from XMM-Newton, Chandra, NICER, and NuSTAR, including unpublished data after 2020. This data set enables us to

On the Distances to Transient X-Ray Sources
Estimation of the distance of three transient X-ray sources characterized by a rapid increase to a flux comparable with the strongest galactic X-ray sources, followed by a slower decay over a time scale of three to four months. A simple argument based only on X-ray data is presented, which yields a typical distance estimate on the order of a few ...

Cu‐based catalysts as a cornerstone in advancing sustainable energy technologies are fully reviewed in this manuscript, highlighting their potential in photo‐ and electrocatalysis. It includes metallic copper, copper oxides, copper sulfides, copper halide perovskites, copper‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs),

By a simple anti‐Galvanic reaction, up to six copper atoms could be preferably doped into the Ag2(SR)5 staple motifs and Ag20 dodecahedral shell of an atomically precise Ag44(SR)30 nanocluster. When anatase TiO2 is used as substrate, the (AgCu)44/TiO2 photocatalyst exhibited much improved activity in photocatalytic CO2 reduction compared to Ag44/TiO2 ...

Synchrotron Break Frequencies of Mildly to Highly Relativistic Outflows Observed Off-axis
We consider the synchrotron spectrum produced by mildly to highly relativistic collisionless shocks. Simple analytic formulae are derived for the break frequencies (peak frequency, self-absorption frequency, synchrotron, and inverse Compton cooling ...

MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

EP240414a: A Gamma-Ray Burst Jet Weakened by an Extended Circumstellar Material
The recent Einstein Probe (EP) event EP240414a exhibits several unusual observational features. Its prompt and afterglow emissions place it between long gamma-ray bursts (LGRBs) and low-luminosity GRBs (LLGRBs).
