On the evolution of anomalous X-ray pulsars and soft gamma ray repeaters with fallback disks [PDF]
We show that the period clustering of anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs) and soft gamma-ray repeaters (SGRs), their X-ray luminosities, ages and statistics can be explained with fallback disks with large initial specific angular momentum.

Discovery of X-Ray Burst Oscillations from a Neutron Star X-Ray Transient in the Globular Cluster NGC 6440 [PDF]
We report the discovery of millisecond oscillations in an X-ray burst from the X-ray transient SAX J1748.9-2021 in the globular cluster NGC 6440. Oscillations at a frequency of 409.7 ± 0.3 Hz were present in one of 15 X-ray bursts observed with the ...

Diffusion‐based size determination of solute particles: a method adapted for postsynaptic proteins
We present a diffusion‐based approach for measuring the size of macromolecules and their complexes, and demonstrate its use on postsynaptic proteins. The method requires fluorescein‐labelled protein samples, a microfluidic device that maintains laminar flow for said samples, a microscope recording the emitted fluorescent signals, and an analytic ...

Reflection and Timing Study of the Transient Black Hole X-Ray Binary MAXI J1803-298 with NuSTAR
The transient black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1803−298 was discovered on 2021 May 1, as it went into outburst from a quiescent state. As the source rose in flux it showed periodic absorption dips and fit the timing and spectral characteristics of a hard ...

CXOM31 J004253.1+411422: the first ultraluminous X-ray transient in M 31 [PDF]
Context. We seek clarification of the nature of X-ray sources detected in M 31. Here we focus on CXOM31 J004253.1+411422, the brightness of which suggests that it belongs to the class of ultraluminous X-ray sources. Aims.

Overview of molecular signatures of senescence and associated resources: pros and cons
Cells can enter a stress response state termed cellular senescence that is involved in various diseases and aging. Detecting these cells is challenging due to the lack of universal biomarkers. This review presents the current state of senescence identification, from biomarkers to molecular signatures, compares tools and approaches, and highlights ...

Swift observations of two supergiant fast X-ray transient prototypes in outburst [PDF]
We report on the results from observations of the most recent outbursts of XTE J1739 302 and IGR J17544 2619, which are considered to be the prototypes of the supergiant fast X-ray transient (SFXT) class.

Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.
