Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Compact objects in active galactic nuclei and X-ray binaries [PDF]
In this thesis I study the inner-most regions of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) using the reverberation mapping technique, and neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries in quiescence using X-ray observations. Using the 13-year optical monitoring data for the

Based on broadband timing analysis of Insight-HXMT and Neutron Star Interior Composition Explorer data from the 2019 outburst of the black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1348-630, we report the detection of the coexistence and competitive interplay between Type

Reanalysis of the X-Ray-burst-associated FRB 200428 with Insight-HXMT Observations
A double-peak X-ray burst from the Galactic magnetar SGR J1935+2154 was discovered to be associated with the two radio pulses of FRB 200428 separated by 28.97 ± 0.02 ms.

LINKING BURST-ONLY X-RAY BINARY SOURCES TO FAINT X-RAY TRANSIENTS [PDF]
Burst-only sources are X-ray sources showing up only during short bursts but with no persistent emission (at least with the monitoring instrument which led to their discovery). These bursts have spectral characteristics consistent with thermonuclear (type I) burst from the neutron star surface, linking burst-only sources to neutron star X-ray binary ...

The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

Gamma-ray bursts during neutron star formation. Gamma-ray bursts and transient X-ray sources [PDF]
Discussions are presented of the associations between cosmic gamma ray bursts and transient X-ray sources, and the release of gravitational binding energy during the formation of neutron stars.

Fast X-ray transients (FXTs) are a new observational class of phenomena with no clear physical origin. This is at least partially a consequence of limited multiwavelength follow-up of this class of transients in real time.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

The 2003 outburst of the X-ray transient H1743–322 : comparisons with the black hole microquasar XTE J1550–564 [PDF]
The bright X-ray transient H1743–322 was observed daily by the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer during most of its eight-month outburst in 2003. We present a detailed spectral analysis and a supporting timing analysis of all of these data, and we discuss the ...
