Densitometer system for liquid hydrogen has high accuracy, fast response [PDF]
Developmental densitometer system for cryogenic liquids uses two balanced ionization chambers containing xenon gas, with X rays as the radiation source. The X rays are heavily filtered with a lead shield to make the energy spectrum much less dependent on

X rays test the Pauli exclusion principle
Since the publication of the models describing a small violation of the Pauli exclusion principle (PEP) there has been an explosion of word-wide interest in PEP tests and related theories.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Electronic catalogue of muonic X-rays
μX-ray spectra for Z=9-90 were measured with HPGe detectors and muonic beams of PSI (Villigen, Switzerland) [1]. The results are presented as electronic atlas composed of graphic plots. The atlas is available at JINR site [2].

Absolute timing of the Crab pulsar with the INTEGRAL/SPI telescope
We have investigated the pulse shape evolution of the Crab pulsar emission in the hard X-ray domain of the electromagnetic spectrum. In particular, we have studied the alignment of the Crab pulsar phase profiles measured in the hard X-rays and in other ...

X-rays have tremendous potential for imaging at the highest angular resulution. The high surface brightness of many x-ray sources will reveal angular scales heretofore thought unreachable. The short wavelengths make instrumentation compact and baselines short.

The Reflection of X-rays by Crystals. (II.)
This note is a supplement to a paper on the reflection of X-rays by crystals which has been recently communicated to the Royal Society. It is there shown that the wave-length of a homogeneous beam of X-rays can be found accurately in terms of the spacing

ACTION OF X-RAYS ON MAMMALIAN CELLS
The effects of x-irradiation have been quantitatively studied on single cells of a human cervical carcinoma (HeLa) under conditions such that 100 per cent of the unirradiated cells reproduce in isolation to form macroscopic colonies.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

The Effect of the Exposure into a low dose of X-ray on human Hematological Parameters
Although low dose of X-rays are widely used in medical radiology, the harmful effects of exposure to low dose of X-rays during diagnostic radiological examination is still a commonly discussed topic.
