A new multi locus variable number of tandem repeat analysis scheme for epidemiological surveillance of Xanthomonas vasicola pv. musacearum, the plant pathogen causing bacterial wilt on banana and enset [PDF]
Xanthomonas vasicola pv. musacearum (Xvm) which causes Xanthomonas wilt (XW) on banana (Musa accuminata x balbisiana) and enset (Ensete ventricosum), is closely related to the species Xanthomonas vasicola that contains the pathovars vasculorum (Xvv) and ...

Aerobic Actinobacteria belonging to the genus Frigoribacterium were isolated from adelgid Adelges (Aphrastasia) pectinatae collected from a Korean fir tree. Genomic analysis showed that these bacteria encode a range of factors that may be involved in the interactions between Frigoribacterium strains, adelgids and/or Korean fir trees.

Molecular mechanisms of plant NLR activation and signalling
SUMMARY Plants rely on NLRs (nucleotide‐binding leucine‐rich repeat receptors) to recognise effector proteins secreted by pathogens into plant cells and to deliver disease resistance. Plant NLRs are broadly characterised by their N‐terminal domains, which include the TIR (Toll/interleukin‐1 receptor) and the CC (coiled‐coil) domains.

Isolation of Outer Membrane Vesicles from Phytopathogenic Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris
Gram-negative bacteria naturally release outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) to the surrounding environment. OMVs contribute to multiple processes, such as cell-cell communication, delivery of enzymes and toxins, resistance to environmental stresses and pathogenesis.
