X-ray computed tomography (X-CT) is often used to examine organs, but the reconstructed images can only be used for structural identification. Whether the organs are healthy or not requires a professional doctor to examine the reconstructed image and ...

2D α‐Co(OH)2 interleaved with Mo species displays an appealing dual functionality for the production and use of green hydrogen.Mo incorporation greatly benefits the electrochemical behaviour in Oxygen Evolution Reaction for H2 production, while the magnetocaloric response at liquid H2 temperature paves the way for alternative cryogenic refrigerants ...

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...

Comparative Raman scattering studies of GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs and AlxGa1-xAs/AlAs superlattices
The room-temperature Raman scattering studies of longitudinal optic phonons in AlAs/AlxGa1-xAs and GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs short-period superlattices with different layer thicknesses were reported. The AlAs LO modes confined in AlAs layers and GaAs-like LO modes

The miscibility of foreign elements in rutile‐type IrO2 and SnO2 is greatly enhanced under high Laplace pressure, where their crystal size is reduced to the nanoscale. This enhancement leads to the successful synthesis of DSA‐composition solid‐solution nanocatalysts with notable durability during the acidic OER in water electrolysis.

Study on valence offsets at InxGa1-xAs/InxAl1-xAs heterojunction [PDF]
In this paper, the valence band offsets Delta E(v)(x) as a function of the alloy concentration x of the heterojunctions InxGa1-xAs/InxAl1-xAs are studied, using the average-bond-energy theory in conjunction with a cluster expansion method.
