HNC, HCN and CN in Seyfert galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Bright HNC 1--0 emission has been found towards several Seyfert galaxies. This is unexpected since traditionally HNC is a tracer of cold (10 K) gas, and the molecular gas of luminous galaxies like Seyferts is thought to have bulk kinetic temperatures ...

Cinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.

A 9‐Year‐Old Boy With Right‐Sided Extrapulmonary Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis Subphrenic Abscess: A Case Report From Woldia, Northeast Ethiopia

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
Coronal reconstruction post contrast thoraco‐abdominal CT of a 9 years old boy taken December, 2023. This shows 1.45 by 3.9 cms hypodense collection having rim enhancement in the right anterio‐inferior sub‐phrenic space suggestive of abscess. ABSTRACT Diagnosing extrapulmonary and drug‐resistant tuberculosis in children is challenging.

Multidrug‐Resistant Pathogen Clonal Spread in Nigeria: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aim The rapid dissemination of multidrug‐resistant (MDR) bacterial clones poses a global health threat and limits treatment options. Understanding the dynamics of bacterial clones in Nigeria is essential for developing effective control strategies. This systematic review aimed to track MDR pathogen clones in Nigeria. Methods The

Yield of Systematic Longitudinal Screening of Household Contacts of Pre-Extensively Drug Resistant (PreXDR) and Extensively Drug Resistant (XDR) Tuberculosis Patients in Mumbai, India

open access: yesTropical Medicine and Infectious Disease, 2020
While risk of tuberculosis (TB) is high among household contacts (HHCs) of pre-extensively drug resistant (pre-XDR) TB and XDR-TB, data on yield of systematic longitudinal screening are lacking.

Molecules as tracers of galaxy evolution: an EMIR survey. I. Presentation of the data and first results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the molecular gas properties of a sample of 23 galaxies in order to find and test chemical signatures of galaxy evolution and to compare them to IR evolutionary tracers. Observation at 3 mm wavelengths were obtained with the EMIR broadband
