Similar locomotor patterns across Quarter Horse disciplines inform lameness assessment
Abstract Background Lineage‐based selection is central to the Quarter Horse industry and is often justified by the assumption that morphology determines locomotor function. However, objective evidence linking static conformation to discipline‐specific locomotor behaviour under standardised conditions remains limited.

Pelvic axial rotation in hindlimb lame horses changes after diagnostic analgesia
Abstract Background Visual assessment of mild to moderate hindlimb lameness has low sensitivity and specificity, potentially leading to flawed diagnostic procedures. Pelvic axial rotation (roll) makes the assessment more complex but is also a potential source of information. Objectives To describe pelvic roll patterns in horses with unilateral hindlimb

Triboelectric nanogenerators for vehicle intelligent cockpits
Converting mechanical stimuli from drivers and vehicle motion into electrical signals, triboelectric nanogenerators provide promising interfaces toward passive, flexible, distributed and intelligent sensing for next‐generation automotive cockpits to support three core functional dimensions: driver state monitoring, vehicle state monitoring, and human ...

Magneto‐responsive fibers and fabrics for soft systems
Abstract The combination of functional materials in fiber form has led to a surge in the integration of functional fibers and fabrics into soft systems that span sensing, communication, and actuation domains. A key subset is magnetic fibers and fabrics.

Due to the use of lumbar folding steering for heavy-duty articulated vehicles in coal mines, the lateral stiffness is weak and the disturbance factors are complex, making it more difficult to operate and easily causing safety problems.

Plastic luminescence in mechanoluminescent composites
Through compression tests and numerical simulations, this study demonstrates that the luminescence of a mechanoluminescent (ML) composite is strongly associated with plastic strain, thereby providing new insight into deformation‐induced luminescence during the plastic stage.

Approximate Reachability for Feedback Linearizable Systems
The backwards reachable set for a dynamical system is the set of states for which there exists a constraint admissible trajectory that reaches a given terminal set. Conventional grid‐based approaches for computing these sets are intractable for many applications.
