High‐Speed Altitude Regulation With Neuromorphic Camera and Lightweight Embedded Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic cameras deliver rapid, high‐dynamic‐range sensing but overwhelm embedded processors at high speeds. This work presents a lightweight, optimized Lucas–Kanade optical flow method with parallelization, gyroscopic derotation, and adaptive event slicing.

Multi-criteria stability combination for yaw stability control of autonomous vehicles

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2019
Abstract This paper deals with the yaw stability control to enhance the lateral stability of an autonomous vehicle. By considering some of the main existing stability criteria in the literature, a methodology of monitoring vehicle stability by combining multiple stability criteria is developed in this paper.

Vision‐Based Handover and Organization of Robotic Scrub Nurse for Seamless Surgical Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents a pose estimation‐based robotic scrub nurse (PERSN) that assists surgical procedures by estimating the surgeon's hand position, orientation, and grasping state, along with the constraint‐based 6D pose of surgical instruments. User evaluations show that PERSN provides greater immediate usability and reduces physical demand compared ...

Application of dynamical systems theory to the high angle of attack dynamics of the F-14 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Dynamical systems theory has been used to study the nonlinear dynamics of the F-14. An eight degree of freedom model that does not include the control system present in operational F-14's has been analyzed.

Decoupling Control of Yaw Stability of Distributed Drive Electric Vehicles

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
Most of the research on driving stability control of distributed drive electric vehicles is based on a yaw motion design controller. The designed controller can improve the lateral stability of the vehicle well but rarely mentions its changes to the roll
