NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

Georgian yeasts and grape cultivars do edit the wine quality in a precision oenology
Georgia, a country of the South Caucasus region, is recognised to be the oldest place with winemaking practice since the Neolithic period. Eight-thousand years of winemaking experience has led to a continuous progress in both the local oenological ...

A unique mechanism of catalytic bias regulated by diaphorase‐like subunit in formate dehydrogenase from Rhodobacter aestuarii is revealed. The diaphorase‐like subunit functions act as a biological “voltage rheostat” that controls the slow release of NADH to regulate redox balance, biasing the enzyme's catalytic preference toward CO2 reduction over ...

Engineered Optogenetic Circuits In Yeast with Self‐Sustained Outputs
Optogenetic quorum‐sensing (OptoQS) circuit enables Saccharomyces cerevisiae to record transient light stimulus with self‐sustained outputs. Panel a indicates the design of the OptoQS circuit based on G‐protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling cascade. Panel b indicates the mode of action of surrogate messenger‐mediated signal transmission at the cell
