Carcase and component yields of rheas
British Poultry Science, 19971. Three Greater Rheas (Rhea americana) and 5 Lesser Rheas (Pterocnemia pennata) were slaughtered, using the procedures conventional for ostriches in South Africa, in order to determine the expected yield of by-products and saleable lean meat, fat and bone of rheas. 2.

Growth, Yield, and Yield Components of Lupin Cultivars
Agronomy Journal, 1990AbstractThe cultivation of Lupin, Lupinus spp., as a protein source for animal feed and as a way of improving soil fertility is of interest for crop rotation under rainfed Mediterranean climatic conditions and poor acid soils. The adaptation of a cultivar from each one of the four cultivated species of lupin: L. albus (L.), L.

Yield and Yield Components of Winter‐Type Safflower
Crop Science, 2012ABSTRACTSafflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a minor yet widely grown oil seed crop adapted to semiarid regions. The development of winter adapted safflower, permitting fall planting, could substantially increase seed production. Our objective was to compare seed production of winter‐type and spring‐type safflower under fall and spring planting ...

CORRELATION BETWEEN YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS IN SUNFLOWER
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1990Correlation between seed yield and other characters in 15 parents and 36 hybrids of sunflower revealed that plant height, head diameter and 100 seed weight had highly significant and positive correlation with seed yield. Among them, the plant height and head diameter had significant and positive intercorrelation among themselves.

SUMMARYTotal yield and yield components (tuber numbers and mean tuber weights) of six local sweet potato cultivars were compared in wet and dry season crops. There were significant negative correlations between tuber number and mean tuber weight in five of the six cultivars, and positive correlations between these yield components and total yield ...

Note on yield component analysis
Cereal Research Communications, 2006A discussion on yield component analysis is presented in the paper. The discussion regards such issues as inappropriateness of a linear model in application to yield component analysis, correct measurement of yield and its components, sequential and nonsequential development of the components, and a choice of a statistical analysis method to provide a ...

Seed yield and yield components of creeping bentgrass cultivars
Canadian Journal of Plant Science, 2004Creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.) is a high-value turfgrass species that offers opportunities for western Canadian seed companies and producers. The objective of this study was to evaluate creeping bentgrass seed yield and the relationship between seedhead density and seed yield across a diverse range of cultivars.
