GENERATION MEAN ANALYSIS FOR YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS IN SESAME (Sesamumindicum L.)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environment, 2015
Two parents with contrasting characters were used, viz; Gd2002SPSN.29 and Ziraa-9 described as (P1) and (P2) respectively. They were selected from the sesame breeding program, Gedarif Research Station, ARC, Sudan.

Identifying seedling root architectural traits associated with yield and yield components in wheat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background and Aims: Plant roots growing underground are critical for soil resource acquisition, anchorage and plant-environment interactions. In wheat (Triticum aestivum), however, the target root traits to improve yield potential still remain largely ...

Heterosis for seed yield and yield components in sunflower

open access: yesGenetika, 2005
The development of new high-yielding and stable sunflower hybrids based on interspecific hybridization requires information on the heterotic effects for agronomically important traits in the F, generation. Heterotic effects for seed yield, plant height and head diameter were studied in interspecific sunflower hybrids developed by the line x tester ...

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

Genotype x environment interactions for yield components of broomcorn [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] [PDF]

open access: yesSelekcija i Semenarstvo, 2000
The aim of this investigation was to study the ecological stability of yield components (weight of undressed and trashed panicle and seed weight per panicle) in fourteen varieties of broomcorn.

Variation in morpho-physiological characters of four lentil genotypes of Bangladesh

open access: yesFundamental and Applied Agriculture, 2018
Morpho-physiological growth analysis is very important for the study of growth, development and yield of a crop. In order to study the growth indices and yield performance of lentilfield experiments were carried out at two locations (Sub-stations- Magura

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Distribution of entanglement in light-harvesting complexes and their quantum efficiency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Recent evidence of electronic coherence during energy transfer in photosynthetic antenna complexes has reinvigorated the discussion of whether coherence and/or entanglement has any practical functionality for these molecular systems.

Genetic relationship between yield and yield components of maize

open access: yesGenetika, 2010
One of the objectives of this paper was to determine relationship between grain yield and yield components, in S1 and HS progenies of one early synthetic maize population. Grain yield was in high significant, medium strong and strong association with all studied yield components, in both populations.
