An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Effect of cultivars on tree growth, yield and quality attributes of apple on espalier architecture under high density planting system

open access: yesJournal of Horticultural Sciences, 2019
Annual extension growth (AEG), an indicator of tree vigor, was recorded maximum (145.63 cm) in Granny Smith and minimum (111.04cm) in Spartan, where as correlation matrix showed negative relation between trunk cross sectional area (TCSA) and AEG. Granny

Smallest small-world network

open access: yes, 2002
Efficiency in passage times is an important issue in designing networks, such as transportation or computer networks. The small-world networks have structures that yield high efficiency, while keeping the network highly clustered.

Trichoderma asperellum efficiency in soybean yield components

open access: yesComunicata Scientiae, 2017
The present study aimed to evaluate the Trichoderma asperellum inoculation efficiency in agronomic performance of soybean plants under field conditions. Two experiments were conducted in a savanna in Gurupi, Tocantins, Brazil, during the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 crop years, being realized soil chemical analysis and recording the climatic conditions.
