STM studies of adsorbed ZDDP on graphite

We have studied the adsorption of zinc O,O-diisopropylphosphoro-dithioate (ZDDP) adsorption on graphite at room temperature by STM. Two different structures corresponding respectively to monomer and dimer were observed on this surface although only the dimer was found to exist in the crystalline state.

Experimental Analysis on the Lubrication Performance of ZDDP

In this paper, the antiwear properties of Zinc dithiodialkylphosphate and its synergistic effect with Benzotriazole have been studied by test. The results show that small amount of Benzotriazole can greatly improve the antiwear properties of ZDDP . The compound additive have been used in the research of engine oil formulation, we gained good effect.

Chemistry of ZDDP Tribofilm by ToF-SIMS

Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) (static and dynamic modes) has been applied to chemical characterization of zinc dithiophosphate additives tribofilm. Main result concerns insights in the spatial distribution of phosphate and sulphide species in the whole tribofilm thickness, at a sub-micrometer scale.
