From Purpose to Persistence: How Intentional Introductions by Humans Influence Ecological Niches of Non‐Native Plants

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Biogeography, Volume 35, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim The intentional or unintentional transport of non‐native plants is key to overcoming geographic barriers. However, it remains unclear whether such introduction pathways associate with overcoming environmental barriers, which is key for successful invasion.

Baking Quality of Winter Wheat Varieties in Organic Farming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The technological value of wheat is negatively influenced by organic methods of cultivation. The critical factor is the crude protein content and quality.

Effect of bulb type on moth trap catch and composition in UK gardens

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 19, Issue 3, Page 484-497, May 2026.
We analyse 10 years of records Garden Moth Scheme (GMS) to estimate the effect of bulb and trap type on the number of moths caught by moth traps. We find that brighter, higher wattage bulbs collect the most moths. Heath traps catch fewer moths than Robinson or Skinner‐stye traps.

Response of Winter Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) to Fertilizers with Nitrogen-Transformation Inhibitors and Timing of Their Application under Field Conditions

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
Winter wheat is a widely cultivated crop that requires high inputs of nitrogen (N) fertilization, which is often connected with N losses. The application of fertilizers with nitrification (NI) and urease inhibitors (UI) is an opportunity to eliminate the

Regionalization of European Habitat Classification (EUNIS) for Effective Ecosystem Assessment

open access: yesApplied Vegetation Science, Volume 29, Issue 2, April/June 2026.
The study presents a regionalization framework for EUNIS habitat classification. We relied on European concepts to define 99 regional ecologically meaningful habitats that were strongly linked to environmental drivers and legal conservation categories.

Soil carbon, nitrogen, and biological activity as affected by land use and grassland management across North Carolina

open access: yesSoil Science Society of America Journal, Volume 90, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Undisturbed land uses have the potential to enhance soil organic matter, but how and to what extent this occurs on private farms remains relatively unexplored. A cross‐sectional study of perennial grasslands and farm woodlots was undertaken across North Carolina to investigate stocks of soil organic C, total soil N, and soil‐test biological ...

Finanční krize a soustava řízení Baťa: Makro- a mikro- reakce na krizové prostředí [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Competitiveness, 2009
