Characterization of zinc chelating compounds in instant coffee.

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1990
The complex formation of zinc with constituents in instant coffee was studied by complexometry, using the modified tetramethyl murexide (TMM) method. The activity of Zn2+ binding was measured in a pH 5.0 hexamine buffer containing 1 m m ZnCl2. Instant coffee to which Zn2+ had been added was separated into three color components by Sephadex G-25 gel ...

Bioinformatics approach for discovery of potential lead compound of NSP6 of SARS-CoV-2 using structure based virtual screening and molecular dynamics simulations

open access: yesScientific Reports
Non-Structural Protein 6 (NSP6) is a crucial protein for SARS-CoV-2 as it performs a vital role in the replication and transcription of the virus. NSP6 plays a role in the stress response of the endoplasmic reticulum through binding to the sigma receptor

Local absorption of zinc from wounds treated with various zinc-compounds

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica, 1978
It is shown that in the rat, zinc is absorbed from excisional wounds into serum, from various locally applied zinc oxide preparations as well as from zinc peroxide and zinc sulphate. The most pronounced absorption of zinc to serum was recorded from wounds treated with zinc peroxide.
