Sensitivity of Different Developmental Stages and Resistance Risk Assessment of Phytophthora capsici to Fluopicolide in China

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2020
Sensitivities of Phytophthora capsici to fluopicolide were investigated in vitro, with results showing that fluopicolide had strong inhibitory activities on each development stage of P. capsici, in particular on the motility of the zoospore.

Oomycete Plant Pathogens Use Electric Fields to Target Roots

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2002
Plant roots generate electrical currents and associated electrical fields as a consequence of electrogenic ion transport at the root surface. Here we demonstrate that the attraction of swimming zoospores of oomycete plant pathogens to plant roots is ...

Dynamic Extreme Aneuploidy (DEA) in the vegetable pathogen Phytophthora capsici and the potential for rapid asexual evolution.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
Oomycete plant pathogens are difficult to control and routine genetic research is challenging. A major problem is instability of isolates. Here we characterize >600 field and single zoospore isolates of Phytophthora capsici for inheritance of mating type,

Screening strawberry plant resistance to Phytophthora cactorum with two techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
P. cactorum infects runner plants in the NFT system fairly quickly, the first symptoms becoming visible in three to five days in susceptible cultivars.

Pathogenic fungus in feral populations of the invasive North American bullfrog in Argentina [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Nearly a third (32.4%) of the world?s amphibian species are either threatened with extinction or already extinct (1). The chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) (Chytridiomycetes: Ryzophydiales) (2) has been recognized as responsible for mass

Variability in virulence and the race concept in Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary

open access: yesActa Mycologica, 2014
Variability in virulence and aggressiveness was studied in 102 single zoospore isolates originating from 4 field isolates of Phytophthora infestans. Field isolates appeared to be mixtures of a wide spectrum of phenotypes differing in both characters as ...

Coconut Phytophthora. Workshop proceedings, 26-30 October 1992, Manado, Indonesia [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Ce séminaire sur le Phythophthora du cocotier avait pour but de réunir tous les acteurs d'un projet démarré en 1990 et de faire le point sur les études réalisées pour la connaissance et la lutte contre ce champignon. Ce projet a donné une grande priorité
