A positive zymogram method for ribonuclease

Abstract We have developed a rapid, sensitive, and specific zymogram for detecting ribonuclease (RNase). Endopolygalacturonase zymograms of Fusarium species

Zymogram and life-history studies on trypanosomes of the subgenusMegatrypanum

Of 13 Swedish dairy cows examined, 12 (92.3%) were found to be infected with trypanosomes by cultivation of blood samples. Of the two species of tabanid fly caught close to the cattle, 33.3% of the Tabanus bromius and 8.6% of the Haematopota pluvialis were also found to be infected with trypanosomes on dissection.

THE study of leukaemia viruses was until recently greatly hampered by the lack of cell cultures capable of propagating such viruses, but several cultures have now been found which support the replication of murine leukaemia virus. Urinary pepsinogen zymogram in gastrectomized patients

Urinary proteolytic activity and agar gel electrophoresis was done 3 months after complete gastrectomy in 7 patients, and the findings compared with those in 25 presumably normal subjects. PEROXIDASE ZYMOGRAMS OF 16 APPLE ROOTSTOCKS

Shoot bark and root extracts of 16 different apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) root-stocks were analyzed for multiple electrophoretic forms of peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.7) using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). Thirteen bands were seen in the peroxidase zymograms of shoot bark extracts and eight in the peroxidase zymograms of root extracts.

Pectic zymograms and taxonomy and pathogenicity of the Ceratobasidiaceae

The pectic enzymes of 140 isolates of Rhizoctonia-1ike fungi from the Western Australian grainbelt were examined by electrophoresis and found to fall into 11 distinct zymogram groups (ZG). Isolates within a ZG had a similar cultural and morphological appearance and were either all multinucleate or all binucleate.

Zymograms and histochemistry of non-specific esterase in the salivary glands

Zymogramic analysis of esterase in the mouse, rat and guinea-pig salivary glands was undertaken and demonstrated species and organ specificities of esterase with electrophoretic method. Salivary glands esterase was classified into A, B and C types based on the electrophoretic mobility.
