Non-specific esterase zymogram and histochemistry in the keratinization of tumors

Histochemie, 1970
Characteristical patterns of non-specific esterase zymogram on the keratinization were carried out in the experimentally induced epidermoid carcinoma from the skin and salivary gland of mice. Zymogramic findings and histochemical localizations of esterase in tumor lesions were also comparatively observed. 1.

Characterization of Trypanosoma cruzi from Argentina by electrophoretic zymograms

Acta Tropica, 1991
Polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic patterns for six enzymes in 73 isolates and 38 clones of Trypanosoma cruzi from different areas of Argentina were classified into 12 zymodemes. The isolates were obtained from human patients with acute, chronic or congenital Chagas' disease, vector insects, domestic and sylvatic animals.

Analysis of esterase zymograms ofFusarium sambucinum and related species

Mycopathologia, 1995
Esterase zymograms were obtained following polyacrylamide slab gel electrophoresis of protein extracts Fusarium sambucinum and related species originating from different geographic locations and different matrices. The sites of esterase activity were recorded, and the Rfs were calculated. The data were used for the construction of phenograms by cluster

Pectic zymograms as criteria in taxonomy of Rhizoctonia

Mycological Research, 1990
The extracellular pectic enzymes produced by members of the Ceratobasidiaceae were examined by Polyacrylamide slab gel electrophoresis. Cultures included species of Aquathanatephorus, Ceratobasidium, Pseudopapulaspora, Rhizoctonia and Waitea , as well as anastomosis grouped cultures of Ceratobasidium and Thanatephorus .

Zymograms as criteria in the taxonomy of fungi

1988
A sensitive and efficient electrophoretic technique for the examination of fungal pectic enzymes was developed. This involved electrophoresis of culture fluids in polyacrylamide slab gels containing pectin. Gels were soaked in malic acid solution which gradually reduced the gel pH from 8.7 to 3.0 and allowed the enzymes to act on the incorporated ...

Distinction between Sclerotinia species by their pectic zymograms

Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1983
Zymograms of the extracellular pectic enzymes of Sclerotina sclerotiorum, S. minor and S. trifoliorum were prepared by electrophoresis of untreated fluid from liquid cultures. Each species gave a distinctive zymogram which allowed a rapid and non-subjective identification.
