Targeting ATR in Cancer Medicine

2023
As a key component of the DNA Damage Response, the Ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related (ATR) protein is a promising druggable target that is currently widely evaluated in phase I-II-III clinical trials as monotherapy and in combinations with other rational antitumor agents, including immunotherapy, DNA repair inhibitors, chemo- and radiotherapy ...

[ATR] reversal in Jumjum

Diachronica, 2006
Jumjum, a Western Nilotic language, has an eight-vowel system divided into two sets by the feature [ATR] (Advanced Tongue Root), which is the basis of vowel harmony. A comparison with other Western Nilotic languages shows that (i) this vowel system goes back to a ten-vowel system in Proto-Western Nilotic (PWN), (ii) PWN high [−ATR] vowels have become ...

ATR-FTIR spectroscopy as the future of diagnostics: a systematic review of the approach using bio-fluids

, 2020
In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of spectroscopy as a diagnostic tool. This review aims to summarize the studies that have reported the use of ATR-FTIR spectroscopy for the acquisition of spectral signatures from saliva, blood and ...

Targeting ATR as Cancer Therapy: A new era for synthetic lethality and synergistic combinations?

Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2019
The DNA damage response (DDR) machinery is responsible for detecting DNA damage, pausing the cell cycle and initiating DNA repair. Ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related (ATR) protein is a key kinase at the heart of the DDR, responsible for sensing ...

ATR Inhibitors and Paclitaxel in Melanoma

Clinical Cancer Research, 2021
Abstract A phase I study defined a tolerable combination of the ATR inhibitor ceralasertib with paclitaxel and responses were seen in patients with melanoma who had progressed on an immune checkpoint inhibitor. This combination warrants further exploration to determine the extent and molecular determinants of clinical activity.

Profiling cocaine by ATR–FTIR

Forensic Science International, 2015
In this article, five hundred and thirteen cocaine seizures of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) in the fingerprint region (1800-650 cm(-1)) to profiling and evaluate the pharmaceutical products used as adulterants.

ATR dependent activation of Chk2

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2006
AbstractATM and ATR are essential regulators of DNA damage checkpoints in mammalian cells through their respective effectors, Chk2 and Chk1. Cross regulation of the ATM‐Chk2 and ATR‐Chk1 pathways is very limited, although ATM and ATR show overlapping function in a partnership and time‐dependent manner.

ATR Harmony in African Languages

Language and Linguistics Compass, 2008
Abstract A widespread phonological pattern in African languages of the Niger‐Congo and Nilo‐Saharan families is a type of vowel harmony or assimilation based on a phonological feature [ATR], or advanced tongue root. This article introduces the general behavior of African ATR harmony systems, briefly describes their geographic and ...
