DataSheet1_Synthesis of Benzylidene Analogs of Oleanolic Acid as Potential α-Glucosidase and α-Amylase Inhibitors.docx

open access: yes, 2022
A series of benzylidene analogs of oleanolic acid 4a∼4s were synthesized and assessed for their α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activities. The results presented that all synthesized analogs exhibited excellent-to-moderate inhibitory effects on α ...

α-Glucosidase and α-Amylase Inhibitory Compounds from three African Medicinal Plants: An Enzyme Inhibition Kinetics Approach

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2017
The quest to find new lead compounds with anti-diabetic effects via the inhibition of α-glucosidase and α-amylase had led us to conduct bioassay guided isolation of three African medicinal plants which resulted in the identification of bicyclo[2.2.0 ...

β-Glucosidase activity from the thermophilic fungusScytalidium thermophilumis stimulated by glucose and xylose [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 2004
An inducible mycelial beta-glucosidase from Scytalidum thermophilum was characterized. The enzyme exhibited a pI of 6.5, a carbohydrate content of 15%, and an apparent molecular mass of about 40 kDa. Optima of temperature and pH were 60 degrees C and 6.5, respectively.
