The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Linseed oils with different fatty acid patterns in the diet of broiler chickens

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2006
The effect of 1, 3, 5 or 7% of linseed oil on the performance and content of nutrients in meat was studied in an experiment with broiler chickens from 25 to 40 days of age.

The impact of weather conditions on alpha-acid content in hop (Humulus lupulus L.) cv. Aurora

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2020
The influence of four main weather attributes on the content of alpha-acids of the hop cv. Aurora for the period 1994-2019 was studied. By analysing correlation coefficients, specific times of the year when the weather conditions affect the alpha-acid ...

Almost Bi-Γ-Ideals and Fuzzy Almost Bi-Γ-Ideals of Γ-Semigroups

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, we introduce the notions of almost bi-Γ-ideals and fuzzy almost bi-Γ-ideals of Γ-semigroups and give properties of them. Moreover, we investigate relationship between almost bi-Γ-ideals and fuzzy almost bi-Γ-ideals.

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Effects of dietary vitamin E and vitamin C supplementation on the level of α-tocopherol and L-ascorbic acid in muscle and on the antioxidative status and meat quality of pigs

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2005
In total thirty pigs (Slovak Meaty) defined by DNA based test as not susceptible to malignant hyperthermia (non-mutant on RYR1) were used in the experiment.

On approximation f by (α,β,γ)-Baskakov Operators

open access: yesJournal of Al-Qadisiyah for Computer Science and Mathematics, 2017
In the present paper, we study some application properties of the approximation for the sequences  and   . These sequences depend on the arbitrary (but fixed) parameters  and . Here, we study the effect of these parameters on tends speed of the two families of operators  and  and the CPU times which are occurring on the approximation by a choosing ...

Γ-(,δ)-Derivation on Semi-Group Ideals in Prime Γ-Near-Ring

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Science, 2020
The main purpose of this paper is to investigate some results. When h is  -( ,δ) – Derivation on prime Γ-near-ring G and K is a nonzero semi-group ideal of G, then G is commutative .

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

Formation of α-hydroxycarbonyl and α-dicarbonyl compounds during degradation of monosaccharides

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2007
The formation of α-hydroxycarbonyl and α-dicarbonyl compounds from monosaccharides (glucose, fructose, arabinose, glyceraldehyde, and 1,3-dihydroxyacetone) was studied in three different model systems comprising an aqueous and alkaline solution of ...
