Stabilized Cellulase in Chitosan–Polyvinyl Alcohol Biopolymer Beads for Sustainable Enzymatic Deinking of Recycled Paper

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
A stable and reusable biocatalyst, cellulase@Cs/PVA/Ga, is engineered by immobilizing cellulase onto glutaraldehyde‐activated chitosan (Cs) and coating it with polyvinyl alcohol. This composite system enhances enzymatic stability and efficiency for the sustainable deinking of recycled newspaper, offering a green alternative to harsh chemical treatments.

Efficient Extracellular Production of Insulin Glargine in Trichoderma reesei by an Integrative Secretion‐Based Strategy

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 3, March 2026.
Schematic diagram showing how optimisation of the expression cassette enhances secretory production of insulin Glargine. ABSTRACT Insulin glargine, a long‐acting insulin analog, is essential for diabetes treatment. However, its industrial production remains challenging due to limitations in conventional expression systems.

The Factors Involved in Plant–Insect–Microbe Interactions Expanded: Genome Analysis and Description of Frigoribacterium adelgis sp. nov.

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Aerobic Actinobacteria belonging to the genus Frigoribacterium were isolated from adelgid Adelges (Aphrastasia) pectinatae collected from a Korean fir tree. Genomic analysis showed that these bacteria encode a range of factors that may be involved in the interactions between Frigoribacterium strains, adelgids and/or Korean fir trees.

Late Stage Mannan Metabolism in Cellvibrio japonicus Requires the Combined Action of a Mannosyl‐Glucose Phosphorylase and a Mannobiose Epimerase

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 125, Issue 2, Page 173-184, February 2026.
Model for the non‐PTS utilization of manno‐oligosaccharides by Cellvibrio japonicus. The Mgp130A and EpiA enzymes are essential for the utilization of mannose residues. ABSTRACT Manno‐oligosaccharides and their metabolism play important roles in gut health, pharmaceutical development, and renewable chemical production.

β-Mannanase Supplementation as an Eco-Friendly Feed Strategy to Reduce the Environmental Impacts of Pig and Poultry Feeding Programs

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2021
Little is still known about the environmental impacts of exogenous enzyme supplementation in pig and poultry feeding programs. Thus, this study aimed to assess the potential environmental impacts of producing feeds for pigs and broilers by simulating the

Safety evaluation of the food enzyme containing endo‐1,4‐β‐xylanase and endo‐1,3(4)‐β‐glucanase from the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus tubingensis strain CBS 138353

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The food enzyme containing endo‐1,4‐β‐xylanase (4‐β‐D‐xylan xylanohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.8) and endo‐1,3(4)‐β‐glucanase (3‐(1‐3;1‐4)‐β‐D‐glucan 3(4)‐glucanohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.6) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus tubingensis strain CBS 138353 by Solyve.

Effects of mannan level and β-mannanase supplementation on growth performance, apparent total tract digestibility and blood metabolites of growing pigs

open access: yesAnimal, 2017
The exogenous enzymes are less consistent in their effects as their beneficial effects depend upon the types and level non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) present in the diets. Therefore, exogenous enzymes should be selected on the basis of types and amount
