Spontaneous regression of equine sarcoids is an exceptional event

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Sarcoids are benign, yet locally aggressive skin tumours that commonly affect horses and other equid species. The lesions are induced by bovine papillomavirus types 1, 2, and probably 13 in conjunction with other factors including trauma and a genetic predisposition.

Rhenium Complexes as Antimicrobial Agents

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
Rhenium complexes are stepping into the fight against superbugs. Our new review explores how these metallic complexes could inspire the next generation of antimicrobial therapies. ABSTRACT The escalating crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) necessitates the exploration of unconventional therapeutic scaffolds.

Enhanced CO2 reduction to multi‐carbon products on CuLa bimetallic catalyst

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Electrochemical CO2 reduction offers a promising approach for carbon utilization while is limited by selectivity toward multi‐carbon products. In this work, we developed CuLa catalysts, which significantly improved C2+ selectivity towards around 75% under 200 mA cm−2.

Insulin Resistance: An Update on Biochemical and Pathophysiological Mechanisms and Impact on Various Diseases

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Insulin resistance is the biological phenomenon in which the human body's normal response to the metabolic hormone insulin is compromised. Insulin is a regulator of most of the essential metabolic steps in the body that control energy homoeostasis, so dysregulation leads to multiple diverse human diseases including, most prominently, Type 2 ...
