Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Counting Independent Sets of a Fixed Size in Graphs with Given Minimum Degree [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Galvin showed that for all fixed δ and sufficiently large n, the n-vertex graph with minimum degree δ that admits the most independent sets is the complete bipartite graph .

Intermediate temperature SOFC single cell test using Nd1.95NiO4+δ as cathode [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This work deals with SOFC single cell tests using neodymium nickelate Nd1.95NiO4+δ as cathode material. This MIEC oxide exhibits high values of both surface exchange coefficient (k) and oxygen diffusion coefficient (D*), as well as high electronic ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ–La0.6Sr0.4Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ Composite Cathode for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2016
Composite cathodes contain Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ and La0.6Sr0.4Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ were tested in different configuration for achieving cathode of area specific resistance lower than Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ and La0.6Sr0.4Co0.8Fe0.2O3–δ cathodes ...

Graphs with tiny vector chromatic numbers and huge chromatic numbers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Karger, Motwani, and Sudan [J. ACM, 45 (1998), pp. 246-265] introduced the notion of a vector coloring of a graph. In particular, they showed that every k-colorable graph is also vector k-colorable, and that for constant k, graphs that are vector k ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

On Congruence Lattices of Nilsemigroups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We prove that the congruence lattice of a nilsemigroup is modular if and only if the width of the semigroup, as a poset, is at most two, and distributive if and only if its width is one. In the latter case, such semigroups therefore coincide with the nil

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Increased C3 productivity in Midwestern lawns since 1982 revealed by carbon isotopes in Amanita thiersii [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
How climate and rising carbon dioxide concentrations (pCO2) have influenced competition between C3 and C4 plants over the last 50 years is a critical uncertainty in climate change research.
