SARS‐CoV‐2 infection as cause of in‐utero fetal death: regional multicenter cohort study
ABSTRACT Objective Placental infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) can lead to placental insufficiency and in‐utero fetal death (IUFD). The objective of this study was to confirm and quantify the extent to which fetoplacental infection with SARS‐CoV‐2 is a cause of fetal death.

Highlights Lipid profiles of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) in patients with diabetes or diabetic cardiovascular disease are rarely reported. n‐3 docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)‐enriched triacylglycerol (TG) was found to decrease in sEVs from serum of patients with diabetic cardiovascular disease (DM‐CAD).

Highlights Glucagon receptor (GCGR) monoclonal antibody (mAb) improves cardiac function and attenuates microvascular damage in db/db mice. GCGR mAb ameliorates the oxidative stress of cardiac microvascular endothelial cells in diabetic mice. GCGR mAb counteracts the diabetes‐induced upregulation of carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1B, optic atrophy type ...

Highlights Increased glutamate is associated with the development of diabetes. Glutamate increases plasminogen (PLG) levels through glutamate metabotropic receptor 5 activation with various insulin resistance‐related stresses. Glutamate inhibits the conversion of PLG to plasmin by increasing plasminogen activator inhibitor‐1.

A Review of micro RNAs changes in T2DM in animals and humans miRNAs在2型糖尿病人类和动物中的变化
Highlights MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are overexpressed in inflammation, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Many types of miRNAs are changed during the T2DM progression. miRNAs have a potential role as a biomarker in T2DM diagnosis. Abstract Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and its associated complications have become a crucial public ...

MsaH2A.W is identified response to salt tolerance in Miscanthus sacchariflorus
To study the underlying genetic basis of Miscanthus adaptation to salt stress, the transcriptome variations of Miscanthus sinensis, Miscanthus sacchariflorus and their hybrid were analysed using RNA‐seq technology under salt treatment. According to the expression pattern of known salt‐tolerant genes, a histone variant gene MsaH2AW of M.

Highlights For distinguishing glucokinase maturity‐onset diabetes of the young (GCK‐MODY) from hepatocyte nuclear factor 1‐α MODY (HNF1A‐MODY), total triglycerides may help during the follow‐up period. In order to discriminate GCK‐MODY from MODY‐like type 2 diabetes, high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein may be a suitable indicator in the early stage ...

Highlights The first multicenter, large‐sample study of the relationship between remnant cholesterol (RC) and diabetes. RC is independently associated with diabetes. RC represents residual diabetes risk beyond traditional lipids. Abstract Background The association between remnant cholesterol (RC) and diabetes remains unclear because of limited study ...

Highlights Sodium/glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitors (SGLT‐2i) showed an important renoprotective effect on sustained administration, regardless of the presence of diabetes, the baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and different types of SGLT‐2i. There was an acute decline of eGFR in the initial administration (4.02 ml/min/1.73 m2), and
