Naphthyridine‐Based Donor–Acceptor Boron Difluoride Complexes Targeting Red Emission in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Four donor–acceptor boron difluoride complexes based on triphenylamine donor and a naphthyridine acceptor units were synthesized, studied, and applied as OLED emitters. They exhibit pronounced intramolecular charge transfer character, balanced charge transport properties, and tunable emission. Near‐unity PLQYs are achieved for selected compounds, while

MCP-1 binds to oxidized LDL and is carried by lipoprotein(a) in human plasma

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2013
Lipoprotein oxidation plays an important role in pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Oxidized low density lipoprotein (OxLDL) induces profound inflammatory responses in vascular cells, such as production of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1 ...

QBP1 Peptide as a Potential Anti‐Amyloidogenic Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The anti‐amyloidogenic peptide QBP1 effectively halts human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) aggregation, preventing the formation of toxic β‐structured intermediates. Through a combination of biophysical assays, molecular dynamics, and cell‐based studies, QBP1 is shown to preserve β‐cell viability and metabolic homeostasis, positioning it as a ...

Serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is a biomarker in patients with diabetes and periodontitis

open access: yesIndian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2014
Introduction: The role of serum Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1) as a biomarker of periodontitis is well documented; however, its role in diabetic patients with periodontitis is unknown.

LC3B Mediated SETDB1‐Accounted Alcoholic Steatohepatitis via Lipidation‐Dependent LAP and Lipidation‐Independent Nuclear Stabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SETDB1 is progressively downregulated in ALD, correlating with disease severity. SETDB1 deficiency impairs LAP by disrupting Rubicon membrane localization, leading to defective lipid droplet clearance. Concurrently, loss of SETDB1 reduces nuclear LC3B, causing R‐loop accumulation and cGAS‐STING‐driven inflammation. Lipidated LC3B mediates LAP‐dependent

URO-MCP-1 mice exhibit bladder hypersensitivity and develop bladder inflammation upon intravesical administration of a single sub-noxious dose of LPS.

open access: yes, 2016
(A) URO-MCP-1 mice develop bladder histopathology after cystitis induction. The bladders of both C57BL/6 (n = 7) and URO-MCP-1 mice (n = 8) were instilled with 100 μl PBS (top panel) or 1 μg of LPS in 100 μl PBS (bottom panel).

Diversity of Pharmaceuticals Enhances Antibiotic Resistance in the Invertebrate Gut via Biofilm‐Mediated Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Vorinostat Potentiates Chemoimmunotherapy in Immune‐Enriched Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Immune‐enriched pancreatic cancer does not confer a significant survival advantage. SAHA sensitizes these “hot” tumors to chemoimmunotherapy by disrupting a FASN/PARP9‐driven “metabolic trap” and enhancing CD8+ T cell function. A CD8high/FASNhigh/PARP9high signature identifies patients who are most likely to benefit from the “gemcitabine‐nivolumab‐SAHA”

MCP-1 mRNA Expression in Basal Keratinocytes of Psoriatic Lesions

open access: yes, 1993
In addition to hyperproliferation of keratinocytes, psoriasis is characterized by pronounced leukocytic infiltration. In contrast to the epidermal localization of neutrophils and T lymphocytes, macrophages are almost exclusively restricted to the dermal ...
