Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

The gyrB gene is a useful phylogenetic marker for exploring the diversity of flavobacterium strains isolated from terrestrial and aquatic habitats in Antarctica [PDF]
Within the phylum Bacteroidetes, the gyrB gene, encoding for the B subunit of the DNA gyrase, has been used as phylogenetic marker for several genera closely related to Flavobacterium.

Clostridium sordellii Brain Abscess Diagnosed by 16S rRNA Gene Sequencing [PDF]
ABSTRACT Clostridium sordellii is usually associated with skin and soft tissue infections. We describe the first case to our knowledge of a Clostridium sordellii -associated brain abscess, diagnosed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing, expanding the microbiological spectrum of brain abscesses, with ...

A 3D Matrigel‐based droplet microfluidics platform that allows physiologically relevant analysis of single immune‐tumor interactions in solid tumors. By integrating real‐time functional imaging with fluorescence‐activated droplet sorting and RNA sequencing, the system links immune cytotoxic behavior to transcriptomic profiles, providing a scalable ...

Capturing Greater 16S rRNA Gene Sequence Diversity within the Domain Bacteria [PDF]
ABSTRACT A large proportion of “universal” 16S PCR primers lack sequence homology to many of the “candidate” divisions, severely limiting bacterial diversity assessments. We designed a primer set that offers a 50% increase in silico in coverage of the domain Bacteria over the ...
