Effects of Dietary Mannan Oligosaccharides on Growth, Disease Resistance, and Gut Microbiota in Zebrafish

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Supplementation with mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) enhances growth, disease resistance, antioxidant capacity, and gut microbiota diversity while suppressing inflammation, apoptosis, and strengthening intestinal barrier integrity in zebrafish challenged with LPS or DSS.

Pathophysiological Mechanisms of Emaciation Syndrome in Plectropomus leopardus: Insights From Histology and Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Integrated phenotypic, histological, transcriptomic, and validation analyses reveal that emaciation syndrome in Plectropomus leopardus is associated with intestinal structural damage, hepatic metabolic remodeling, and muscle protein degradation, highlighting coordinated multi‐tissue alterations underlying disease progression.

Fecal Virome Transplantation in Human Disease and Livestock Production: Evidence, Mechanisms, and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Fecal virome transplantation may reshape bacterial communities and host responses while reducing viable bacterial transfer. Preclinical evidence suggests biological activity, but human efficacy remains uncertain, and translation requires product standardization, causal validation, donor–recipient matching, and rigorous biosafety assessment.
