Phylogenetic relationships of Scelimeninae genera (Orthoptera: Tetrigoidea) based on COI, 16S rRNA and 18S rRNA gene sequences

Zootaxa, 2018
Scelimeninae is an important subfamily of Tetrigoidea; however, the phylogenetic relationships within Scelimeninae are poorly understood, and its generic classification has remained unstable. In this study, the COI, 16S rRNA and 18S rRNA genes from 24 species in 9 genera within Scelimeninae were amplified and sequenced, the base composition and inter ...

The 18S and 5S ribosomal RNA genes in Oenothera mitochondria: Sequence rearrangments in the 18S and 5S rRNA genes of higher plants

Molecular and General Genetics MGG, 1985
The 18S and 5S ribosomal RNA genes are separated by a 582-nucleotide-long spacer region in the Oenothera mitochondrial genome. The 5S rRNA gene is 7 bp shorter than the maize and 3 bp shorter than the wheat sequences due to a 4 bp deletion in a side arm of the secondary structure model.

Diagnosis of candidosis by amplification of small subunit of 18S rRNA gene.

Revista iberoamericana de micologia, 2005
A PCR assay for the diagnosis of infection produced by Candida sp. was developed. The primers, designated 520 and 522, were selected from highly-conserved areas of the small subunit (ssu) 18S rRNA gene of Candida spp. To check the value of the results a Candida albicans oligonucleotide probe, digoxigenin-labeled, and a general Candida probe were used ...

Molecular study of mollusca in Bandar Lengeh using 18S rRNA gene

2019
Mollusca are one of the most diverse animal phyla whose phylogeny is considered as a controversial subject. Although some groups were traditionally classified as mollusca, they need to be identified again. High diversity of mollusca has created considerable taxonomic problems and despite their importance in marine biota, deep phylogenetic relationships
