Characterization and Screening of Native Scenedesmus sp. Isolates Suitable for Biofuel Feedstock.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
In current study isolates of two native microalgae species were screened on the basis of growth kinetics and lipid accumulation potential. On the basis of data obtained on growth parameters and lipid accumulation, it is concluded that Scenedesmus ...

Molecular survey of Cryptosporidium spp. in calves from the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2020
Cryptosporidium spp. is a protozoan that infects a wide range of vertebrate hosts; it has been reported to be the cause of severe illness or death in livestock worldwide, which leads to decreased performance and production losses, especially in young ...

Canagliflozin Alleviates Diabetic Glomerular Endothelial Injury via Melibiose in a Microbiota‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Genotyping of Cryptosporidium spp. isolated from young domestic ruminants in some targeted areas of India

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2014
Faecal samples (363) from kids, lambs, calves and buffalo calves of below 3 months of age were collected from various parts of India and screened microscopically for Cryptosporidium oocysts using modified Ziehl–Neelsen method of staining ...

Nanocellulose Alleviates Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy via Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Bile Acid Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Phylogenetic Analysis of Theileria Annulata Infected Cell Line S15 Iran Vaccine Strain [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Parasitology, 2012
Background: Bovine theileriosis results from infection with obligate intracellular protozoa of the genus Theileria. The phylogenetic relationships between two isolates of Theileria annulata, and 36 Theileria spp., as well as 6 outgroup including Babesia ...

Comparison data of a two-target real-time PCR assay with and without an internal control in detecting Salmonella enterica from cattle lymph nodes

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
A real-time PCR (qPCR) assay targeting on invA and pagC genes was developed and validated for the detection and quantification of Salmonella enterica strains (Bai et al., 2018) [1].

Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

PRC2.1 Coordinates Peri‐Nucleolar H3K27me3‐Enriched Heterochromatin Organization and NPM1 Pentamerization to Maintain Nucleolar Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PRC2.1(PCL2)‐coordinated H3K27me3‐enriched PNH establishes a spatial scaffold crucial for nucleolar integrity. As a crucial coordinator, PCL2 links PRC2.1 to chromatin organization and NPM1 assembly. This network‐based model reveals how chromatin modifications and nucleolar components cooperatively maintain nucleolar architecture, revealing novel ...

The impact of intragenomic rRNA variation on metabarcoding‐derived diversity estimates: A case study from marine nematodes

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, 2020
Intragenomic rRNA variation is a critical concern for eukaryotic metabarcoding studies, due to its potentially confounding effects on species delimitation and biodiversity estimates derived from ‐Omics data.
