Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Engineering the tumor microenvironment of colorectal cancer [PDF]
The tumor microenvironment contributes significantly to the clinical prognosis, especially in CRC. Infiltration by cells from the adaptive immune system (e.g. CD8) has been linked to a better survival independently of TNM-stage.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Electrical impedance tomography for real-time 3D tissue culture monitoring [PDF]
Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an emerging image technique that can image the spatial conductivity distribution in the sensing area by generating an electric field and measuring the induced boundary voltages. With the advantages of low-cost,

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

An organized 3D in vitro model for peripheral nerve studies [PDF]
Three-dimensional cell cultures have been proposed to address the limitations in two-dimensional cell cultures (i.e. lack of relevant architectural features) and very few have developed 3D cell culture methods for peripheral nerve studies. Therefore, the

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Background Trauma-induced heterotopic ossification (HO) is a complication that develops under three conditions: the presence of an osteogenic progenitor cell, an inducing factor, and a permissive environment. We previously showed that a mouse multipotent
