Mass Spectrometry Insights Into Post‐Translational Modifications in Extracellular Vesicles
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are membrane‐enclosed structures secreted by virtually all living cells, serving as essential mediators of intercellular communication in both physiological and pathological processes. There is growing interest in their potential applications as biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and drug delivery systems, which ...

A COMPARISON OF THE FACILITATORY ACTIONS OF 4‐AMINOPYRI‐DINE METHIODIDE AND 4‐AMINOPYRIDINE ON NEUROMUSCULAR TRANSMISSION [PDF]
4‐Aminopyridine methiodide (4‐APMI), a quaternary analogue of aminopyridine (4‐AP), was tested for neuromuscular facilitatory actions on the chick biventer cervicis and frog sartorius nerve‐muscle preparations. In the chick, 4‐APMI (10−4 to 10−2m) augmented indirectly elicited twitches and reversed tubocurarine‐induced neuromuscular block. Reversal of

Movement Disorders in Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies
Abstract Background Monogenic developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEE) frequently feature co‐occurring movement disorders. Gene discovery has expanded epilepsy‐dyskinesia syndromes (EDS) from classic associations such as stereotypies in Rett syndrome to PRRT2‐related infantile seizures with paroxysmal dyskinesia and crouched gait in SCN1A ...

Prolonged Toxic Encephalopathy following Accidental 4-Aminopyridine Overdose
Background. 4-Aminopyridine (4-AP) is a drug that is used to improve motor fatigue in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). Medication error can occur, as commercial preparation may not be available in some countries. Case Presentation.

Amiodarone reduces depolarization-evoked glutamate release from hippocampual synaptosomes
Decreased brain glutamate level has emerged as a new therapeutic approach for epilepsy. This study investigated the effect and mechanism of amiodarone, an anti-arrhythmic drug with antiepileptic activity, on glutamate release in the rat hippocampus. In a

In this study, curing behavior of epoxy resins using a dual‐locked thermal latent curing agent (DCA) was analyzed using DSC and FT‐NIR. The DCA was successfully dissolved in the bisphenol A type epoxy resin (DGEBA). Furthermore, the prepared one‐component epoxy resin was used as an adhesive and achieved excellent adhesive strength (> 25 MPa).

The mechanics of hyperactivation in adhered human sperm [PDF]
Hyperactivation is an important phenomenon exhibited by mammalian sperm during the process of acquiring fertilization capacity. The majority of studies have focused on incubation-induced hyperactivation in non-human species, which typically differ in ...

The photoswitchable ABAMIs for the future regulation of GWT1 in a spatiotemporal level
The GWT1‐targeted azobenzene‐aminopyridine derivatives (ABAMIs), sensitive to the light at wavelengths from 365 to 520 nm, are separately developed as photochromic ligands to regulate bioactivity as well as the GWT1 functions. These molecules are smart tools in photopharmacological studies, giving an innovative method for understanding functional GWT1 ...

Inhibition of 4-aminopyridine-induced seizures in mice by a novel 3-substituted 1,4-benzodiazepine
Some of highly effective antiepileptic substances share the polymodal pharmacological action which determines the possibility of their use for treatment of pathogenetically similar diseases. Inhibitory mediator systems influence for example, suggests the
