Independent Suspension, Self Steered Axle, and 4WS for Busses
Vehicle System Dynamics, 1999The dynamic behavior of commercial vehicles fitted with differentr types of suspension mechanisms and steering devices is investigated in this paper. Six vehicle models have been constructed: 2WS-SA is a standard two wheel steering bus with solid axles; 2WS-DW is a 2WSA vehicle with independent double wishbone suspension in front and rear axles; SSA-SA

Simulation on Steering Stability of 4WS Tractor Semi-trailer
2009 International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2009Based on the analysis of the steering performance, the objective of this paper is to present evidence for the tractor adopted the four-wheel steering (4WS) which can improve the handling and stability of tractor semi-trailer. The simplified single track model with 3 DOF for 4WS tractor semi-trailer has been constructed for dynamic simulation through ...

Manufacturable 4W GaAs WLAN amplifier module for 5GHz applications
2004 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37535), 2004A manufacturable 4W three stage amplifier module for 5GHz wireless LAN applications has been developed using GaAs pulse-doped MESFET technology, a non-hermetic package, clip lead, and printed circuit board (PCB). The first and second stages of the amplifier are integrated into single MMIC chip (monolithic microwave integrated circuit).

Controllability and Stability Aspects of Actively Controlled 4WS Vehicles
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1989<div class="htmlview paragraph">Four wheel steering (4WS) of passenger cars has become a topic of interest in recent vehicle dynamics literature. In the present work, a linear two-degree of freedom model (L2DF) has been used to examine controllability and stability aspects of various 4WS algorithms.

Stability control of 4WS vehicles using robust IMC techniques
Vehicle System Dynamics, 2008A robust nonparametric approach to vehicle stability control by means of a four-wheel steer by wire system is introduced. Both yaw rate and sideslip angle feedbacks are used in order to effectively take into account safety as well as handling performances.

A 4WS Control Strategy for Improving Race Car Performances
Volume 2: Automotive Systems, Bioengineering and Biomedical Technology, Fluids Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Non-Destructive Evaluation, and Nanotechnology, 2006Design and implementation of an active control system to enhance the vehicle’s performances is of great interest for any vehicle type, but for race cars, if allowed by the rules, is of fundamental importance since the vehicle is working most of the time in limit conditions. This paper presents a control strategy for rear wheels steering with the aim of
