Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction Ameliorates Cachexia in Lung Cancer Mice Through Regulating Amino Acid Metabolism: Insights From Transcriptomics, Metabolomics and Experimental Validation

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 19, October 2026.
ABSTRACTThe effects and mechanisms of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction (HGWD) in cancer cachexia remain unclear. We generated an in vivo cachexia model by implanting Lewis lung carcinoma cells into mice and treated animals with HGWD. We evaluated muscle function using grip strength and wire‐grip tests.

PmWRKY‐10 Enhances Pine Wilt Disease Resistance by Promoting Pinosylvin Monomethyl Ether Biosynthesis Through Transcriptional Activation of PmPMT2‐1

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 10, October 2026.
We identified a PmWRKY‐10→PmPMT2‐1→PME defence pathway in Pinus massoniana against pine wilt disease. PmWRKY‐10 activates PmPMT2‐1 to promote the accumulation of the nematicidal metabolite PME. This discovery reveals the mechanism of stilbene‐mediated resistance and provides key genetic targets for forest management.

6-Gingerol Protects against Nutritional Steatohepatitis by Regulating Key Genes Related to Inflammation and Lipid Metabolism

open access: yes, 2015
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), appears to be increasingly common worldwide. The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of 6-gingerol ((S)-5-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-decanone), a ...

Identification of a Calcium Signalling Pathway of S-[6]-Gingerol in HuH-7 Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Calcium signals in hepatocytes control cell growth, proliferation, and death. Members of the transient receptor potential (TRP) cation channel superfamily are candidate calcium influx channels. NF?B activation strictly depends on calcium influx and often

Quantitative profiling of gingerol and its derivatives in Australian ginger

open access: yes, 2021
Gingerols and their shogaol derivatives play an important role in determining the sensory and organoleptic properties of ginger. In this study, 6-gingerol, 8-gingerol, 10-gingerol and 6-shogaol were quantified in 98 samples of dried Australian processing-

A Comparative Study of the Anti-Breast Cancer and Immunomodulatory Effects of [6]-, [8]-, and [10]-Gingerol

open access: yes, 2013
[6]-Gingerol, [8]-gingerol, and [10]-gingerol are phytochemical extracts from ginger that are thought to contribute to its health-benefitting properties. The objectives of this investigation were to explore and compare the in vitro anti-proliferative and

The liquid chromatographic determination of 6-gingerol, 8-gingerol, 10-gingerol and 6-shogaol in ginger (Rhizoma Zingiberis officinalis) as the raw herb and dried aqueous extract

open access: yes, 2007
The determination of 6-, 8-, 10-gingerol, and 6-shogaol in dried ginger (Zingiber officinale) and in the dried aqueous extract of ginger is reported. This is the first study to report a validated method for the determination of these 4 analytes.

Radioiodinated Ginger Compounds (6-gingerol and 6-shogaol) and Incorporation Assays on Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yes, 2020
Background: 6-Gingerol (6G) and 6-Shogaol (6S) are the main active components of ginger. 6-Gingerol is known for its anti-metastatic and anti-invasive pharmacological activities on cancer cells, besides, 6-Shogaol also inhibits breast cancer cell ...

Pharmacological network study on the effect of 6-gingerol on cervical cancer using computerized databases

open access: yes, 2023
Cervical cancer (CC) is the most frequent cancer in the female population worldwide. Although there are treatments available, they are ineffective and cause adverse effects. 6-gingerol is an active component in ginger with anticancer activity.
