Highlights of the chemistry and pharmacological potential of 8-hydroxyquinoline: a review
Fundamental heterocyclic molecules, quinolone and its analogs, especially 8-hydroxyquinoline, play a significant role in chemical synthesis. It has become clear that 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives are incredibly adaptable molecules with a wide range of ...

8-Hydroxyquinoline benzoates as highly sensitive fluorescent chemosensors for transition metal ions [PDF]
8-Hydroxyquinoline benzoates were developed as a new set of 8-HQ derivatives for highly sensitive fluorescent chemosensors for transition metal ions. A prominent fluorescence enhancement was found in the presence of transition metal ions such as Hg2+ and

Hybridity of mainly asexually propagating duckweeds in genus Lemna – dead end or breakthrough?
Summary The cosmopolitan, mainly vegetatively propagating, organ‐reduced monocotyledonous aquatic duckweeds are the smallest and fastest growing angiosperms, distributed world‐wide and flower rarely in nature. Recently, we reported intra‐ and interspecific hybrids and ploidy variants in the genus Lemna.

ABSTRACT The “salt tree”, Rhus chinensis, holds significant economic and medicinal value due to its ability to produce Galla chinensis (Chinese gall/gallnut), a plant‐derived medicinal material used in both traditional Chinese and modern medicine that is rich in tannins and flavonoids. It is also renowned for its remarkable stress tolerance.

Determination of the “Privileged Structure” of 8‐Hydroxyquinoline
AbstractAn accurate semi‐experimental equilibrium structure of 8‐hydroxyquinoline (8‐HQ) has been determined combining experiment and theory. The cm‐wave rotational spectrum of 8‐HQ was recorded in a pulsed supersonic jet using broadband dual‐path reflection and narrowband Fabry‐Perot‐type resonator Fourier‐transform microwave spectrometers.

In Silico Structural Analysis of Human β‐Glucuronidase for Antibody–Drug Conjugates Optimization
ABSTRACT Human β‐glucuronidase (HGUSB), a key lysosomal glycosyl hydrolase for the degradation pathway of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), plays a crucial role in cell proliferation and inflammation, making it a promising target for novel therapeutic strategies including antibody‐drug conjugates (ADCs) with β‐glucuronic linkers.

Antitubercular Activity of some 8-Hydroxyquinoline Derivatives [PDF]
THE well-known antiseptic properties of 8-hydroxyquinoline, and particularly experiments on the use of this compound as an antitubercular agent1, led one of us (T. U.) to prepare a few derivatives of 8-hydroxyquinoline, in order to examine their activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
