ABSTRACT Influenza viruses cause seasonal epidemics, and current vaccines do not fully protect against them. This study focuses on long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs), which are RNA molecules that do not code for proteins but play crucial roles in various biological processes. We identified 17 lncRNAs altered by the influenza virus.

Bio‐derived lignin–Eosin Y macromolecular networks are developed as visible‐light‐responsive self‐sterilizing coatings that generate reactive oxygen species without leaching. The spray‐coated photopolymerized surfaces exhibit durable antibacterial and antiviral activity under ambient light for extended periods, demonstrating a scalable and sustainable ...

Sequence Characterization of matrix protein (M1) in influenza A viruses (H1, H3 and H5)
This study brings the analysis of amino acid sequences of matrix protein (M1) from the influenza virus A (H1N1, H3N2 and H5N1) during 2007-2208. 741 sequences of M1 were compared, of them, H1N1 388; H3N2 251 and H5N1 102.

FEATURES OF EPIDEMIC PROCESS OF INFLUENZA A(H1N1)PDM09 AND A(H3N2) IN RUSSIA FROM 2009 TO 2017
The goal of this work is to compare the key parameters of influenza epidemics of different etiology. Four epidemics of influenza with predominance of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and 4 epidemics of influenza A(H3N2) were analyzed using the database of the ...

ABSTRACT Preexisting immunity to influenza confers rapid protection against antigenically matched viruses but can also constrain responses to drifted variants. This review asks when and why prior infection or vaccination is protective versus detrimental, and which biological mechanisms—epitope masking by circulating antibody, inhibitory FcγRIIb ...
