Genetic Diversity on Farm in Japanese Paper Mulberry

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2025.
Genetic diversity in Japanese paper mulberry was confirmed with MIG‐seq followed by PCA. Including escaped type domesticated plants, there are a few groups that were identified with hyper‐variable maternal lineages. The genetic diversity are observed on farms. ABSTRACT Paper mulberry is a fiber resource for paper making.

Understanding the Mechanisms of Lipid Metabolism Reprogramming and Ferroptosis in Diabetic Kidney Disease Progression

open access: yesJournal of Food Biochemistry, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a common complication of diabetes. The primary mechanism by which renal damage affects renal cells, including podocytes and renal tubular epithelial cells in DKD patients, is lipid metabolism reprogramming. These changes result in a metabolic stress response, including oxidative stress, energy stress in mitochondria ...
