Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

The self-assembly of an end-functionalized PEO106–PPO70–PEO106 triblock copolymer (BCP) with acrylic end groups (Pluronic F127 diacrylate or FDA) in a protic ionic liquid (deuterated ethylammonium nitrate, dEAN) is studied using small-angle neutron ...

Going viral − Virus‐targeting nanobodies for research, diagnostics and therapy
The increasing prevalence of viral diseases represents a major threat for global human health. Nanobodies, small binding fragments derived from camelid heavy‐chain antibodies, offer versatile tools for viral research, diagnostics, and antiviral therapy.

Accelerating Effect of Acetylene on the γ-Radiation-Induced Cross-Linking of Polyethylene [PDF]
The γ-radiation-induced cross-linking of polyethylene was investigated in the presence of acetylene under an absolute pressure of 3 kg/cm2 at 30—200°C with a dose rate of 1.1×105 rad/hr. The weight of the polyethylene increased almost proportionally to the radiation dose, and the rate of the increase was larger at 30 and 90°C than at 150 and 200°C. The

How structural disorder and polyelectrolyte properties of prothymosin α enable its large interactome
In this review, complexes of the fully disordered and highly negatively charged prothymosin α are collected, described, and discussed. Linked to its poly‐electrostatic character, prothymosin α engages a large interactome through multiple different binding modes ranging from fully disordered complexes to short linear motif (SLiM)‐driven interactions ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...
