Ac Losses in Type-II Superconductors
1991This paper discusses the physics of ac losses in type-II superconductors and in multifilamentary superconducting-normal composite conductors. As an introduction, the ac eddy-current losses in a homogeneous normal conducting cylindrical specimen subjected to an alternating applied magnetic field are briefly reviewed.

ac permeability of defect-free type-II superconductors
Physical Review B, 1976A theoretical and experimental study is presented of ac losses in the mixed state of type-II superconductors when viscous damping dominates flux line motion. The theory describes the ac response of a cylindrical superconductor in the mixed state in a dc magnetic field H and a superposed parallel ac field of arbitrary frequency.

Penetration of magnetic ac fields into type-II superconductors
Physical Review Letters, 1991The complex ac penetration depth, surface impedance, and susceptibility are calculated for a superconducting half space and film containing a vortex lattice of arbitrary orientation with respect to the surface. Within linear response theory, full account is taken of the correct boundary conditions (image vortices), diffuse driving force and nonlocal ...

Operational Amplifiers II: AC Model and Applications
2010Chapter 7 describes a dc model for an op amp and gives examples of dc resistive circuit design based on the model. Such a treatment is instructive but unrealistic for all but simple circuits operating at relatively low frequencies. In almost all practical applications of op amps, the frequency responses of surrounding circuitry and of op amps ...

ACE Inhibition, Angiotensin II Receptor Blockade, and Diabetic Nephropathy
1998Only a large, rigorous randomized double-blind assessment of a therapeutic candidate compared to the appropriate alternative can prove therapeutic efficacy. One such trial assessed the effect of captopril in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) who were at risk of nephropathy [1] with results that were sufficiently impressive that ...
