Enhanced CO2 Coordinates the Spatial Recruitment of Diazotrophs in Rice Via Root Development
ABSTRACT Understanding the reciprocal interaction between root development and coadapted beneficial microbes in response to elevated CO2 (eCO2) will facilitate the identification of nutrient‐efficient cultivars for sustainable agriculture. Here, systematic morphological, anatomical, chemical and gene expression assays performed under low‐nitrogen ...

An efficient and cost effective synthesis of acetamides catalyzed by calcium chloride [PDF]
1125-1130CaCl2 has been found to be an efficient and cost effective catalyst for the rapid synthesis of acetamides in high yields. The use of stoichiometric quantities of acetic anhydride under solvent free conditions without any additional ...

A modular Rh‐catalyzed synthetic approach enabled the preparation of diverse reactive fragments from available substrates. The reactive fragments modified Aurora A kinase via several distinct modification reaction classes. In a complex biological environment, the constellation of modified proteins depended critically on the reactive fragment structure.

A synthetic methodology for the preparation of asymmetric benzene‐1,4‐disulfonamides was developed and applied to generate potential anti‐dengue virus (DENV) compounds. Guided by computer‐assisted structural rationalization, we designed synthetically more accessible analogs with reduced toxicity that interact with the DENV NS5 domain, thereby ...
