An unusual pattern of product inhibition: Batch acetic acid fermentation [PDF]
The limited tolerance of microorganisms to their metabolic products results in inhibited growth and product formation. The relationship between the specific growth rate, micro, and the concentration of an inhibitory product has been described by a number of mathematical models.

Acetic acid is undesired in Icewine. It is unclear whether its production by fermenting yeast is linked to the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+/NADH) system or the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP+/NADPH) system.

Membrane Electrolysis Assisted Gas Fermentation for Enhanced Acetic Acid Production [PDF]
Gas fermentation has rapidly emerged as a commercial technology for the production of low-carbon fuels and chemicals from (industrial) CO and/or CO2-rich feedstock gas. Recent advances in using CO2 and H2 for acetic acid production demonstrated that high productivity and substrate utilization are achievable.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

This review maps how MOFs can manage hazardous gases by combining adsorption, neutralization, and reutilization, enabling sustainable air‐pollution control. Covering chemical warfare agent simulants, SO2, NOx, NH3, H2S, and volatile organic compounds, it highlights structure‐guided strategies that boost selectivity, water tolerance, and cycling ...
