The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Methane to Liquid Fuels over Metal Loaded HZSM-5 Catalyst [PDF]
ZSM-5 zeolite is an acidic catalyst that is highly potential for the conversion of natural gas to liquid fuels. One of the variables that controls the acidity of the ZSM-5 is its Si/Al ratio.

PM2.5 acidity at a background site in the Pearl River Delta region in fall-winter of 2007-2012
Based on field observations and thermodynamic model simulation, the annual trend of PM2.5 acidity and its characteristics on non-hazy and hazy days in fall-winter of 2007-2012 in the Pearl River Delta region were investigated.

Soil acidity mapping highlights land where acidification due to normal farming practices is, or could become, a significant problem. Mapping shows surface and subsoil acidity, and surface buffering capacity (ability to withstand pH changes), while ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Bi Is the New B: High Lewis acidity at a planar, trivalent, neutral, electropositive p-block element
Geometric perturbation away from VSEPR-predicted structures can engender unusual frontier MO situations leading to high Lewis acidity. Recently we reported a T-shaped bismuth triamide, which exhibited planar Lewis acidity that was unprecedented for ...
