Calbindin and calretinin immunoreactivities in the retina of a chondrostean, Acipenser baeri

Cell and Tissue Research, 2002
The distribution of calbindin and calretinin in the retina of the sturgeon Acipenser baeri was studied with immunocytochemistry. Western blot analysis of brain extracts, together with immunocytochemical results in the retina and brain, indicated the presence of the two calcium-binding proteins in sturgeon.

Molecular characterization and biological functioning of interleukin-8 in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baeri)

Fish and Shellfish Immunology, 2019
Interleukin-8, otherwise known as CXCL8, is a CXC chemokine that plays a pivotal regulatory role in immune and inflammation responses of animals. Here, we identified an interleukin-8 homologue from Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baeri), named AbIL-8, which belongs to the lineage 1 group of teleost fish IL-8s.

Characterization of xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes in sturgeon (Acipenser baeri)

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1989
1. Cytochrome P-450, NADPH-cytochrome c reductase, benzo(a)-pyrene hydroxylase (AHH), 7-ethoxycoumarin-O-deethylase (7-ECOD), epoxide hydrolase (EH), UDP-glucuronyltransferase (UDPGT) and glutathione S-transferase (GSHST) activities in sturgeon (Acipenser baeri) have been measured and partially characterized. 2. Cytochrome P-450-dependent monoxygenase (
