Chinese Chemical Letters, 2015Abstract Two new 2-(quinonylcarboxamino)benzoates, named aconicarmiquinamides A (1) and B (2), were isolated from an aqueous extract of the lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic data analysis, and confirmed by comparison with synthetic methyl 3,6-bis(diethylamino)benzoqunonylcarboxylate (3).

[Chemical constituents of lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx].
Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica, 2015In order to find the cardiotonic constituents of lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx., the investigation was carried out. Silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20, medium-pressure MCI and reverse phase ODS column chromatography were used to separate the 90% EtOH extract of the lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx.

Two polysaccharides, named FPS1-1 and FPS1-2, were separated from the neutral polysaccharides of the lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii, a widely used traditional Chinese medicine (Fuzi in Chinese). The monosaccharide composition analysis indicated that both FPS1-1 and FPS1-2 were glucans.
