Seismogenic structure of the 2016 Ms6.4 Menyuan earthquake and its effect on the Tianzhu seismic gap
On January 21, 2016, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of Ms6.4 occurred at Menyuan, Qinghai Province of China. In almost the same region, there was another strong earthquake happened in 1986, with similar magnitude and focal mechanism.

Automatic Reconstruction of Fault Networks from Seismicity Catalogs: 3D Optimal Anisotropic Dynamic Clustering [PDF]
We propose a new pattern recognition method that is able to reconstruct the 3D structure of the active part of a fault network using the spatial location of earthquakes.

The only confirmed fault displacement in New Zealand since that accompanying the 1968 Inangahua Earthquake was observed on June 23 and 24, 1983, 4 km west of Taupo in the Taupo Volcanic Zone, central North Island (Figure 1). Normal displacement occurred on the late Quaternary Kaiapo fault, previously active in 1922, when almost 1 m of normal fault ...

TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐

Type-Directed Compilation for Fault-Tolerant Non-Interference [PDF]
Environmental noise (e.g.heat, ionized particles, etc.) causes transient faults in hardware, which lead to corruption of stored values. Mission-critical devices require such faults to be mitigated by fault-tolerance --- a combination of techniques that aim at preserving the functional behaviour of a system despite the disruptive effects of transient ...

Investigation of Fault-Tolerant Capabilities in an Advanced Three-Level Active T-Type Converter [PDF]
A novel fault-tolerant three-level power converter topology, named advanced three-level active T-Type (A3L-ATT) converter, is introduced to increase the reliability of multilevel power converters used in safety-critical applications.
