Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

New research progress on the strong earthquakes and seismogenic structures in eastern margin of Tibetan Plateau and adjacent areas: A preface for the special topic

open access: yes地震科学进展
The eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is a tectonic transformation belt regulating the eastward extrusion of materials from the plateau. This area not only has high density active faults and high frequency strong earthquakes, but also has very ...

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Estimation of Activity of the Active Fault.

open access: yesJournal of Geography (Chigaku Zasshi), 1992
The nature of active faults is reviewed to estimate future activity. Criteria for the prediction of large earthquakes are given based on active faults and some earthquake-expectancy maps are shown. The activity of active faults is of a cyclic nature.

Block Structure Bounded by Active Strike-slip Faults in the Northern Part of Kinki District, Southwest Japan [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Geological and geophysical surveys were carried out to discover the hidden active faults and to estimate the dimensions of fractured zone in the northern part of Kinki district, southwest Japan.

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Deformation under a Young Volcanic Covered Area in Southern Garut, Indonesia: Insight from 3D Gravity Modelling

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical and Fundamental Sciences
Destructive earthquakes are frequently related to inland active faults. In recent years, a significant number of shallow earthquakes with low magnitude have occurred in southern Garut, West Java, Indonesia.
