Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Active Matrix Completion

2013 IEEE 13th International Conference on Data Mining, 2013
Recovering a matrix from a sampling of its entries is a problem of rapidly growing interest and has been studied under the name of matrix completion. It occurs in many areas of engineering and applied science. In most machine learning and data mining applications, it is possible to leverage the expertise of human oracles to improve the performance of ...

Matrix Metalloproteinase Activity During Methamphetamine Cued Relapse

Addiction Biology, 2022
AbstractRelapse to drug seeking involves transient synaptic remodeling that occurs in response to drug associated cues. This remodeling includes activation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) to initiate catalytic signaling in the extracellular matrix (ECM) in the nucleus accumbens core (NAcore).

Enzymatic activity in the activated-sludge floc matrix

Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1995
The enzymatic activity of activated sludge was investigated with special emphasis on the localization of the enzymes in the sludge floc matrix. Activated sludge from an advanced activated-sludge treatment plant, performing biological N and P removal, was used. An enzymatic fingerprint was established using a panel of six different enzymes.

Woven active-matrix display

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 2012
In this paper, we present a woven textile display enabled by replacing standard textile threads with flexible stripes. Each stripe contains amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) that actuate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the same stripe.

Matrix Metalloproteinases and Leukocyte Activation

2017
As their name implies, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are thought to degrade extracellular matrix proteins, a function that is indeed performed by some members. However, regardless of their cell source, matrix degradation is not the only function of these enzymes.

Angiogenic Activity of Dentin Matrix Components

Journal of Endodontics, 2011
Angiogenesis is key to both the development and regeneration of the dentin-pulp complex. We hypothesized that proangiogenic signaling molecules sequestered in dentin matrix can be solubilised to induce angiogenic events.Matrix components were extracted from powdered sound human dentin with EDTA and their dose-dependent (0.0001-5 mg/mL) effects examined ...
